These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of scentience.in (the “Site”) and any purchase you make from Scentience (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing the Site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Scentience is an online store selling fragrance and related products, operating at scentience.in and hosted on the Shopify platform. You can reach us at info@scentience.in.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to place an order on the Site. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Products and Pricing

·        All product descriptions, images, and prices are subject to change without notice.

·        Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive or exclusive of applicable taxes as indicated at checkout.

·        We make reasonable efforts to display product colors and scents accurately, but we do not guarantee that your device’s display will be accurate, and scent perception can vary between individuals.

·        We reserve the right to limit quantities, refuse orders, or discontinue any product at our discretion.

4. Orders and Payment

·        By placing an order, you make an offer to purchase, which we may accept or decline.

·        Payments are processed securely through Shopify Payments, Razorpay, and/or PayPal. We do not store your complete payment card or bank details.

·        We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order due to suspected fraud, pricing errors, stock unavailability, or other issues, in which case any payment collected will be refunded.

·        You are responsible for providing accurate shipping and contact information; we are not liable for delays or non-delivery caused by incorrect details.

5. Shipping and Delivery

·        We currently ship within India only.

·        Estimated delivery timelines are provided at checkout and are not guaranteed; delays may occur due to courier, weather, or other circumstances outside our control.

·        Risk of loss and title for products pass to you upon delivery to the shipping carrier or address provided.

6. Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds

·        We accept returns within 14 days of delivery, provided the product is unused, unopened, and in its original packaging.

·        Opened, used, or damaged-by-customer products are not eligible for return or exchange, except where the product arrived defective or damaged in transit.

·        To initiate a return, contact us at info@scentience.in with your order number and reason for return. We will provide instructions and confirm eligibility before you ship the item back.

·        Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within a reasonable time after we receive and inspect the returned product. Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, and product designs, is the property of Scentience or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our prior written consent.

8. User Conduct

When using the Site, you agree not to:

·        Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, our systems, or other users’ accounts.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scentience shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or products purchased, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising from your order shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant product.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scentience, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Site.

11. Third-Party Services

The Site relies on third-party services, including Shopify (e-commerce platform), payment processors (Shopify Payments, Razorpay, PayPal), and advertising/analytics providers (Meta, Google, TikTok). We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or policies of these third-party providers.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date, and continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
